The drum is made from a single sheet of brass that is fashioned into a seamless beaded shell by machine. Only a small number of Black Beauties are offered each year from Ludwig USA because to their really unique and complex manufacturing process.
The Black Beauty is a true American classic, with a warm, round metallic tone that is often imitated but never duplicated.
